Besides TV appearances he also traveled throughout the world and performed works of German composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Russian ones such as Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich and Sviridov and Argentinian Piazzola.

Burton has played with a wide variety of jazz musicians, including Carla Bley, Hank Garland, Gato Barbieri, Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Steve Lacy, Pat Metheny, Makoto Ozone, Tiger Okoshi, Stan Getz, Herbie Hancock, B.B. King, Tommy Smith, Eberhard Weber, Ralph Towner, Peter Erskine, Stephane Grappelli and Ástor Piazzolla.
Their five album releases to date have included works by Handel, Scarlatti, Isaac Albéniz and Ástor Piazzolla.
In 2009, the Orchestra recorded and released Together featuring works by Astor Piazzolla and 2008-2009 Featured Composer Clarice Assad on the NSS Music label.
This performance included a debut of "Tango Suite" by Astor Piazzolla, originally written for guitar duo Odair and Sergio Assad and arranged for four hands by Clarice Assad.
The following year he joined Astor Piazzolla’s Octeto Buenos Aires with the bandoneons of Piazzolla and Roberto Pansera (later replaced by Leopoldo Federico), the violin of Hugo Baralis, the cello of José Bragato, the double bass of Aldo Nicolini (later replaced by Juan Vasallo), the electric guitar of Horacio Malvicino and the piano of Atilio Stampone.
