In 1991, Sharifov worked as the deputy chief of construction company electrifying Çerkezköy-Kapıkule railway.
Prominent manufacturers include the large white goods manufacturers Arçelik, and Sabancı Holding's woollen textile factory Yünsa.
It is a well established company, with head offices in Istanbul, Sarıyer, which runs a factory in Çerkezköy, Northwest Turkey and has an annual turnover at US$50 million 2008 together with 550 employees.
