It is best known for the ruins of the nearby Čachtice Castle, home of Elizabeth Báthory who is alleged to be the world's most prolific female serial killer.
After the wedding, the new lords of Nádasdy, along with Orsolya and other Nádasdy family members went to live in Csejte.
Of its many holdings, the family held the Nádasdy Castle in Sárvár, Hungary, the Csejte Castle, in Čachtice, Slovakia which is situated on a hill adjacent to a nature reserve, and the Nádasdy Mansion in Nádasdladány, Hungary.
