In 1997, İzel released her second solo album titled Emanet which featured Mustafa Sandal on the opening track as well as listing him as a producer.

The credits of the album included upcoming Turkish singers Bendeniz, Eda-Metin Özülkü, Kenan Doğulu, Seden Gürel and Yıldız Tilbe.
The song was performed ninth on the night (following Sweden's Carola with "Fångad av en stormvind" and preceding Turkey's İzel Çeliköz, Reyhan Karaca & Can Uğurlür with "İki Dakika").
The country was represented by a trio composed of İzel -Reyhan-Can with the song “İki Dakika” written by Aysel Gürel and composed by Şevket Uğurluel.
