From 1582 on Ziebingen was a possession of the Protestant Order of Saint John at Łagów, from 1815 it was part of the Prussian province of Brandenburg and held by the Finck von Finckenstein noble family.
Jerzy Duda-Gracz (20 March 1941 in Częstochowa – 5 November 2004 in Łagów) was a Polish painter.
After liberation, in 1948 at the Congress of Polish Composers in Łagów he banned jazz, in his four-and-a-half-hour diatribe about the imperialist rot poisoning people's minds.
