Marcel Rodman (September 25, 1981 in Rodine, Yugoslavia) is a professional Slovenian ice hockey player currently with the Schwenningen Wild Wings of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL).
The sonnet is dedicated to the Prešeren's home village of Vrba, expressing a sense of general melancholy over the lost idyll of the rural environment.
