Christopher James Stone (born 16 June 1953), pen name C.J. Stone, is best known for his columns in The Guardian Weekend and The Big Issue.
It was there that he embarked on his career in journalism, writing for Dazed & Confused, The Big Issue and The Guardian.
Djevara also donated (and continue to donate) a percentage of revenue from merchandise and CDs to their chosen supported causes (at time of writing: Oxfam, Amnesty International, The Big Issue Foundation and TOSE Respite Care Home (Zimbabwe)).
She has served as senior writer and editor at the Wheeler Centre, an institution dedicated to the discussion and practice of writing and ideas, and as Reviews Editor for The Big Issue (Australia).
By 2011, around half of Big Issue sellers in the north of England were of Romani origin, many of whom having migrated from Romania and Bulgaria.

The venture continued to expand with national editions being established in Scotland and Wales, as well as regional editions for Northern England and England's South West Region.

The Big Issue Malawi is currently sold in the main Malawian cities: Lilongwe, Blantyre, Zomba, Mzuzu and Karonga.
