Hasemi and former Australian Rally Champion George Fury qualified their Nissan Bluebird Turbos 3rd and 10th respectively
* Nissan became the 5th make of car to appear in Hardies Heroes, following Holden, Ford, Chevrolet and Mazda.
His previous visits to the race were in 1977 when he spectacularly rolled his Mazda RX-3 at Murray's Corner on lap 103 and 1982 where he finished in 6th place again partnering Moffat.
