The 2008 Valero Alamo Bowl is a college football bowl game that is part of the 2008–2009 bowl season of the 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season.
The two interstate rivals began competing for this trophy in 2008.
The game was supposed to return in 2009 (for the 2008 season) with a new location of Miami, Florida, and the rebranded name, but the game was postponed.
