Carlos Javier Delgado Rodríguez

On 2 October Delgado made his official debut for the Ches main squad, playing the full 90 minutes in a 2–0 home win against Lille OSC for the season's UEFA Champions League.

Carlos Martín Vigaray

On 16 January 2014 Vigaray made his first-team debut, starter in a 0–2 home loss against FC Barcelona, for the season's Copa del Rey.

Clint Boulton

He replaced Ian Twitchin at right-back and quickly settled into the side, playing all but the last four of the remaining games of the season as Torquay struggled unsuccessfully to avoid relegation out of the Third Division.

Cristian Alberdi

On 2 September 2010, aged 30, Alberdi made his professional debut, starting in a 3–2 home win against Celta de Vigo for the season's Copa del Rey.

Curro Torres

Upon Murcia's relegation he returned to Valencia, being restricted to two UEFA Cup matches during the season, with even midfielder Hedwiges Maduro being preferred as Miguel's backup; he left the Che in June 2009.

Daniel João Santos Candeias

After having appeared scarcely throughout his first year (also playing ten minutes in the 0–4 loss against Arsenal in the season's UEFA Champions League), Candeias was loaned in late January to league strugglers Rio Ave FC, until the end of the campaign.

David Añón González

A product of Deportivo de La Coruña's youth system, Añon made his official debut with the first team on 20 January 2010, in a 0–3 home loss against Sevilla FC for the season's Copa del Rey.

Davor Vugrinec

In 1995–96, he netted 17 goals in 31 games as the team finished in fourth position (third after the second stage), also appearing in the season's Croatian Cup final.

Diego Alves

Alves made his official debut for the Che on 13 September 2011, in a 0–0 away draw against K.R.C. Genk for the season's UEFA Champions League.

Diego Mateo

In 2000 he joined U.S. Lecce in Italy, but left the club after appearing in only one fourth of the Serie A games during the season, with the Apulia side narrowly avoiding relegation.

Fernando Martínez Rubio

Fernando made his official debut for the Murcians on 11 September 2013, in a 0–2 away loss against Hércules CF for the season's Copa del Rey.

Francisco Bizcocho

In 1976–77 Bizcocho played 27 games as Betis finished fifth, and scored the decisive penalty in the season's Copa del Rey final, a 8–7 shootout defeat of Athletic Bilbao.

Gonzalo Javier Rodríguez

On 7 April 2011, in the Europa League's quarterfinals against FC Twente, he broke his fibula after a tough challenge by Marc Janko, being rushed to hospital in an ambulance and lost for the remainder of the season.

Hugo Alcântara

Before the season started, however, he left the club, in the aftermath of the earthquake in Japan.

Ignacio Zoco

In 1965–66, apart from appearing in every minute in the domestic competition, he added nine complete games in the season's European Cup, including the final against FK Partizan (2–1 win).

Jim McNichol

On 9 May 1987 Torquay were heading out of the Football League, 2–0, down to Crewe Alexandra at half-time on the last game of the season, they needed two more goals to ensure survival—McNichol, Paul Dobson and a German shepherd called Bryn saved the day for Torquay.

Jon Xabier Vidal

On 28 November 2012 he made his debut with the first team, coming on as a substitute for fellow youth graduate Álvaro Peña in the 85th minute of a 0–2 away win against Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona F.C. for the season's UEFA Europa League.

In early January 2012 Paixão joined his brother in Iran, signing with Naft Tehran F.C. until the end of the season.

Martí Riverola

On 7 December Riverola made his first official appearance for the main squad, coming on as a substitute for Sergi Roberto in the dying minutes of a 4–0 home success against FC BATE Borisov for the season's UEFA Champions League.

Martín Montoya

His first start for the first team occurred on 12 January 2012, in a 2–1 away triumph against CA Osasuna for the season's Copa del Rey (6–1 on aggregate).

Mauricio Pinilla

On 11 September 2011, in the season's opener, Pinilla was brought from the bench to score the 4–2 for Palermo against former club Inter, in an eventual 4–3 home win.

Oier Olazábal

On 2 January 2008 Oier made his debut for the main squad, in the 2–2 home draw against CD Alcoyano for the season's Copa del Rey.

Paulo Futre

In his fifth season, Futre provided countless assists for striker Manolo who scored 27 goals for the Pichichi Trophy, with him netting in the season's domestic cup, a 2–0 win over neighbours Real Madrid; during most of his spell with the Colchoneros, he was also team captain.

Paulo Teles

Teles made his official debut for the Galicians' first team on 17 August 2013, starting in a 2–2 draw against Córdoba CF for the season's Copa del Rey.

Paweł Kieszek

In January 2009 Kieszek joined Vitória Futebol Clube, on loan until the end of the season, being relatively used during his spell as the Sadinos managed to retain their top division status.

Pedro Emanuel

In the season following the departure of Mourinho, Emanuel still managed to appear in the spotlight, as in the 2004 Intercontinental Cup win against Once Caldas, where he scored the decisive penalty, becoming the last player to touch the ball in the competition's history.

Rafael Gálvez Cerillo

On 11 September 2013 Bernardo made his official debut with Córdoba's first team, starting in a 2–2 draw against Deportivo de La Coruña for the season's Copa del Rey.

Raúl Oliveira

In early 1997 Oliveira had an abroad stint, with English side Bradford City in English Division One, appearing only twice during the season for Chris Kamara's team and subsequently resuming his career in Portugal.

Ricardo Emídio Ramalho Silva

In late December 2009 the 34-year-old agreed on a return to his country, signing with struggling Vitória de Setúbal until the end of the season, with the Sadinos eventually finishing in 14th position, the first team above the relegation zone.

Rubén Peña

On 1 November 2012 Peña appeared in his first official game with the main squad, playing the full 90 minutes in a 1–0 home win against Real Betis for the season's Copa del Rey (1–3 aggregate loss).

Sergi Roberto

In only his third official appearance for Barcelona's first team, on 12 January 2012, Roberto scored his second goal, helping the visitors come from behind to win it 2–1 against CA Osasuna in the season's domestic cup (6–1 on aggregate).

Tarik Sektioui

On 2 July 2009, after having appeared rarely for Porto during the season – only 14 appearances combined – Sektioui moved to Ajman Club in the United Arab Emirates, on a one-year deal.

Víctor Vázquez Rosales

Vázquez played his first game as a professional on 6 January 2010, starting for Celta in a 1–1 home draw against Villarreal CF for the season's Copa del Rey.

Yago González

In his second year González only managed four goals in the league, but added three in four contests in the season's FA Cup as Kitchee renewed its supremacy in the latter competition.

2009 Connecticut Huskies football team

Senior running back Andre Dixon ran for 153 yards and three touchdowns and Connecticut beat Louisville for the Huskies first Big East win of the season.

2011–12 Minnesota Timberwolves season

This season saw the debut of 2009 draftee Ricky Rubio, who was a contender for the Rookie of the Year Award until he tore his ACL and his lateral collateral ligament after colliding into Kobe Bryant during a game against the Los Angeles Lakers and was out for the rest of the season.
