He was formerly a radio journalist and presenter on radio stations 2UE and 2WS.
His most notable characters included; "Leon" (Art critic who used to show up on talk shows and say the word "Crap"); and as characters sending up Kerry O'Brien (host of the ABC's The 7.30 Report) and John Laws (former 2UE radio broadcaster).
"Come To Me" was released in Australia on EMI's London Records (as were most of his Australian releases) and reached No.16 on the 2UE Top 40 in Sydney.
He has been a reporter for radio stations, including 2UE, and has provided reports for events such as the Commonwealth Games (including the 2006 Games) and Olympics since the 1980s.
The album was championed by ABC Radio’s Richard Glover and 2UE’s Alan Jones at a time when the south-western suburbs of Sydney were receiving negative media attention in the wake of the Lakemba shootings.

He switched to commercial radio in 1969 and presented current affairs programmes on stations including 2UE, 2UW, Radio Australia, 2SM 3AW in Melbourne (1996); 4BK Brisbane (1997).
