Tulsa 66ers, a NBA Development League franchise based in Tulsa, Oklahoma
The rest of the Olympic team, consisting of AAU Champion Phillips 66ers and Kentucky team members, later scrimmaged on Stoll Field, then the home of the Kentucky football team, in front of 14,000 spectators, the largest crowd to watch basketball in Kentucky at that time.
In 1948, the 66ers combined with Adolph Rupp's "Fabulous Five" University of Kentucky team to form the U.S. team that won the Olympic tournament.
For the 2008–09 season, the team moved to the brand-new SpiritBank Event Center in nearby Bixby, but retained the Tulsa 66ers name.

The 66ers are named for the famous US Highway 66 ("Route 66"), which ran through Tulsa and once played a pivotal role in its economy.
