He has gone on tour with several well-known bands, such as Saigon Kick, Seven Mary Three, Everclear, and was the front man for The Robbie Gennet Band.

Gennet moved to New York City and lived with his sister Abby Gennet for the first half of 1997, then toured with Seven Mary Three, as their keyboardist, guitarist, and backup vocalist in 1997 and 1998.
