After making his movie debut in the 1965 film A High Wind in Jamaica, Hyatt had notable performances in the films Crossplot (1969), Club Paradise (1986), Milk and Honey (1988), The Mighty Quinn (1989), Cool Runnings (1993) and Almost Heaven (2005).
Her first husband was celebrated filmmaker, Alexander Mackendrick, who produced Whisky Galore, The Ladykillers and A High Wind in Jamaica among other projects.
Davenport's casting came in part from his father, Nigel, being a major character in the 1960s pirate film A High Wind in Jamaica, which both Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski enjoyed.
