Ronald Henry Antrobus (1891–1980), youngest son of the aforementioned John Coutts Antrobus, was High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1960 and a Deputy Lieutenant of the county.
The fourth Baronet, represented Newcastle-under-Lyme and Buckingham in the House of Commons and was High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1789.
Annual tourns were also held by the High Sheriff of Cheshire; on 26 September one such tourn was held for Bucklow Hundred in Hale.
The Baronetcy was created in the Baronetage of England on 8 May 1621 for Thomas Delves the great grandson of Sir Henry Delves Kt of Dodington, Cheshire, High Sheriff of Cheshire on two occasions.
Despite his father's loyalties, his son Robert was raised to the Baronetcy following the English Restoration and served as High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1675.
The first Baronet's ancestors included Sir Edward Fitton (1500-1553), High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1544 and Sir Edward Fitton (1527-1579), Treasurer of Ireland and President of Connaught.
In 1237, his lordship was one of those appointed to prohibit Oto, the pope's prelate, from establishing anything derogatory to the king's crown and dignity, in the council of prelates then assembled; and the same year he was appointed High Sheriff of Cheshire, being likewise constituted Governor of the castle of Chester.
Born in Crabwall Hall, in the village of Mollington, Cheshire, she was the third of eleven children of Hugh Lyle Smyth (a wealthy grain merchant and a JP who was appointed High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1895) and Eliza Smyth.
It was created on 30 July 1838 for Charles Shakerley, High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1837.

It then descended further in the Upton family until it was acquired by Sir John Sutherland Harmood-Banner, High Sheriff of Cheshire (1902), Lord Mayor of Liverpool (1912) and MP for Liverpool Everton for 20 years.
