The Championships have been held in London since 1881, apart from a brief spell at Belle Vue Manchester in 1944, Birmingham NEC for 1993–1995 and Barnsley for 1996–2002.
Along with the likes of George McGinnis and college teammate Rick Mount, he helped lead the Pacers to three ABA Championships in '70, '72 and '73 and ABA Final appearances in '69 and '75.

The win came after disappointment the same year as Stalker had previously lost in the final of the ABA Championships to rival Martin Stead by just one point.
