In May 2009, Falu made a special appearance at the Time 100 Gala—Time Magazine’s yearly gala celebrating their list of the 100 most influential people in the world—performing a rendition of “Jai Ho” alongside Slumdog Millionaire film composer AR Rahman, for an exclusive and star-studded crowd which included First Lady Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Walters, Stella McCartney, Liv Tyler, M.I.A. and more.
After finishing his graduation he briefly worked as a director for Phat Phish Films and at the young age of 21 he directed Bollywood Superstars Preity Zinta and AR Rahman in music videos.
He was the son of `Abd al-Mannan, the brother of `Abd ar-Rahman ibn Muhammad, and Guisti (Harari "princess") Fatima, `Abd ar-Rahman's oldest daughter.
The album features a recitation of a verse from the Qur’an (Ar-Rahman) and duas (supplications) from the Qur’an and Sunnah (teachings and practices of Islamic prophet Muhammad) as well as non-instrumental Islamic nasheeds about Allah and Muhammad based on the Qur'an and Hadith.
Abd ar-Rahman III ordered the construction of this city at a time when he had just finished consolidating his political power in the Iberian Peninsula and was entering into conflict with the Fatimid dynasty for the control of North Africa.
