Born in Cornwall to an English father and Welsh mother, Rogerson went to Bodmin College (comprehensive school), then studied Politics at the University of Wales Aberystwyth.
Daniel Chandler (born 1952) is a British visual semiotician based (since 2001) at the department of Theatre, Film and Television Studies at Aberystwyth University (where he has taught since 1989).

In 1989, Chandler returned to academia, joining the Education department at Aberystwyth University.

Aled Gruffydd Jones (born 1955) is Sir John Williams Professor of Welsh History and Senior Pro Vice-Chancellor of Aberystwyth University.
Christine James was born in Tonypandy, Rhondda, and educated at Porth County Grammar School, then later at Aberystwyth University, where she gained a first-class honours degree in Welsh and was subsequently awarded a PhD for a thesis on the Laws of Hywel Dda.
Afterwards he was invited to help with the Theatre Performance Degree Course at Aberystwyth University, where he helped with Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children, The Caucasian Chalk Circle and Alarm Call.
While at Aberystwyth University, he also directed the excavations of Kanovium, the Roman fort at Caerhun, North Wales, in the 1920s, over a period of four summers.
She also helped her father's research between 1919 and 1921 at the University College Wales in Aberystwyth, and worked with Edward Collingwood, also of Aberystwyth, on a translation of Georges Valiron's course on Integral Functions.
He was educated at University College, Aberystwyth and Christ's College, Cambridge where he received his MA and LL.B degrees with honours.
