The first, against Blackburn Rovers, marked the opening of Accrington Stanley's new stadium; the other was a benefit match for Patsy Gallacher, against a representative team from the Scottish Football League.
They then went on a 4-game winning streak, before hitting a bad patch, when they won only one game in 7, including losing in all three cup competitions (1-0 to Reading in the League Cup, 2-0 to Carlisle United in the Football League Trophy & 1-0 to Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup live on BBC One).
On 15 August 2009, the First Round draw for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy 2009–10 was made on Soccer AM, where Oldham was drawn against League Two club Accrington Stanley.
However, he did play two first team matches (December 26, 1921 versus Ashington and January 28, 1922 versus Accrington Stanley) whilst with Tranmere Rovers in the old Third Division North during the 1921-22 season.
On 6 September 2009, Kee, whilst on loan to League Two side Accrington Stanley, was called up to the senior Northern Ireland squad for the first time, replacing the injured Kyle Lafferty.
He had a spell at Scarborough before joining Accrington Stanley in the summer of 2006.
