On the April 14, 2003, episode of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)'s Raw, one of WWE's primary television programs, Matthews and York teamed up to defeat Phil Brown and Pat Cusick in a dark match.

After signing with WWE, the group were called up to the SmackDown! roster and on their debut in April 2005, Birch and Nitro went on to win the WWE Tag Team Championship.
