Among the songs which were performed that night were Seal's hit singles "Killer" (originally written and recorded together with Adamski), "Crazy" and "Kiss from a Rose", as well as a cover of the Neil Young song "Don't Let It Bring You Down".
Loau's debut solo single Sick With Love (written with and produced by Adamski) immediately caught the attention of listeners across the country; receiving heavy airplay on Alternative radio station Triple J and peaking just one place shy of the top 20 singles sales chart.
Adamski's body was found lying on a heap of coal in Tomlin's coal yard in the town of Todmorden at 15:45 on Wednesday June 11, 1980.
In fact, however, Adamski attended the third convention, held in 1955, where he gave a 35-minute lecture and was interviewed by Edward J. Ruppelt, once head of the Air Force Project Blue Book.
