Due to its origin as village of the Dunraven estate (see also Thady Wyndham-Quin, 7th Earl of Dunraven and Mount-Earl), Adare has a more planned appearance than many Irish villages and towns.

Moses has also been part of fourteen festivals; among them The Adare Festival in Ireland, The Cabrillo Festival, Mostly Mozart-NYC, and The Spoleto Festival in Italy.
They had settled in Ireland by 1243, when Sir Richard and Sir John de Rochfort were lords of Crom and Adare.
