Following the war he was the president of the municipal council in Travnik and from 1996 to 2001 Terzić served as Governor/Vice-Governor of the Central Bosnia Canton.

In October 2001 he became the deputy president of the SDA in Bosnia.

From 1986 to 1990, he was an advisor in the municipal government in Travnik.
