3 July — Norway's oldest newspaper, still in print, Adresseavisen, is founded (first edition published this date).
Selnæs is a huge fan of Hotel Cæsar, and in an interview with Adresseavisen in March 2012 he stated that he would love to play a role in the Norwegian soap opera.
Adresseavisen declared him Rosenborg's all-time right back in 2010, ahead of Vegard Heggem and Christer Basma.
As a twelve-year-old child he could perform "even the most difficult concertos and solos, not without admiration from those who listened to him", which was read in the Adresseavisen after the boy had had his debut as soloist and member of Det musikalske Selskab at a concert in Rådhusstræde (City Hall Street) on 1 February 1770.
