Artur Adson (1889–1977), Estonian poet, writer and theatre critic
Addition Adson was one of the most outstanding poets in the Võro dialect of southern Estonia.
In his well-known novel The Name of the Rose, Umberto Eco named one of the protagonists "Adson von Melk" as a tribute to the abbey and its famous library.
