Biniaz was expected to represent Canada at Miss Universe 2012 in Las Vegas but a few days before the expected arrival she hurt her foot and because of that Adwoa Yamoah, the first runner-up, got the opportunity to represent Canada while Biniaz still holds the title of Miss Universe Canada 2012.
