He has played drums and percussion for many different artists including Rumer (played drums and percussion on her debut double platinum 'Seasons of My Soul' album), Laura Mvula, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Desmond Dekker, Eddi Reader, Robert Plant, Afro Celt Sound System, Sniff 'n' the Tears.
Alison Statton, Spike, (a guitarist from South Wales), and Simon Emmerson (later of Working Week and Afro Celt Sound System) formed Weekend (with Phil Moxham on bass) and several respected jazz musicians including Larry Stabbins, Harry Beckett and Keith Tippett.
