Isinya has a private airfield called Orly Airpark, often mistakenly thought to be named after Orly Airport in Paris.
The term is also used in the street "Mattakesett Way" (runs along the east side of Katama Airpark and The Right Fork Diner to Navy Way (see aerial photo in Katama Airpark) and "Mattakesett Herring Creek" (a small tidal creek running parallel to South Beach that functioned as a herring run earlier in the 20th century; in recent years herring have returned in small numbers).
Despite being nearer to the Husted station, the United States Air Force Academy site near the "Pine Valley Airpark" was called the "Pike View site" before it was selected by the Land Acquisition Commission in 1955 (flying resumed in 1964 after the academy was completed).
The majority of the aircraft at Pinal Airpark formerly belonged to Northwest Airlines, though many other airlines are represented as well.
In the late 1930s, Byington Ford bought the northeast corner of Rancho Los Laureles for an airpark.
