Akhnoor

It was prescribed by a local Hindu priest that she wash her eyes with the holy water of the Chenab River.

The picturesque town is located on the banks of the Chenab River.

Jagdeva

About 20-25 generations of the Raja’s of Ambaran ruled Akhnoor state, out of which many Rajas were judicious and gallant.

After staying some years in Gujrat, Rai jagdeva with some of his followers turned to north and in year 1151 Bikrami against 1094 AD, this small caravan settled at about 2 miles north-east of Akhnoor, which was then known as Wrat Nagari at a place Amba Rann, Rai Jagdeva was worshipper of Mata Amba and Rai was his dynasty which till now Rajas of Dhara state Maharajas and other Pawar Rajas use it.
