He also was the author of the Job Training Partnership Act of 1982, which was one of the nation's first public/private partnerships and a major part of the president's job creation program.
Al Angrisani was Assistant U.S. Secretary of Labor and Chief of Staff from 1980–84, and one of the primary archietects of the act.
