Al-Mu'tadid

According to the Orientalist Karl Vilhelm Zetterstéen, al-Mu'tadid "had inherited his father's gifts as a ruler and was distinguished alike for his economy and his military ability", becoming "one of the greatest of the Abbasids in spite of his strictness and cruelty".


Abbad II al-Mu'tadid

Among other acts of friendship, he authorized the transfer of Saint Isidore's relics from Seville to the Basilica of San Isidoro of León.

Taifa of Ronda

From 1065 until 1091 it was under the forcible control of Seville, by Abbad II al-Mu'tadid.
