As-Suyuti traveled to Sham, Tihamah, Hijaz, Yemen, India and Morocco, and settled down towards the end of his life in his homeland of Egypt.
A theologian renowned for his exegetical endeavors, Al-Suyuti also composed two works on prophetic medicine, one of which was on sexual relations as ordered by Muhammad.
According to his book (تنوير الحلك في إمكان رؤية النبي والملك), or The Possibility of Seeing the Prophet and the Angels, Suyuti claims to have seen the Prophet Muhammad over 70 times while he was awake.
