Upon her retirement she became an actress with the Alexandrinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, performing in the plays of Pushkin, among others.

The title was established in 1919 and was given to six oldest theaters of the Soviet Union: Bolshoi Theatre, Maly Theatre, Moscow Art Theatre, Alexandrinsky Theatre, Mariinsky Theatre, and Mikhaylovsky Theatre.
On January 12, 1885 it was first shown in Saint Petersburg's Alexandrinsky Theatre, with Pyotr Stepanov (as Pyotr), Alexandra Chitau (Dasha), Yulia Linskaya (Afimya), Alexander Martynov as Yeremka.
