Academician Sakharov Avenue, Moscow

Some of the projects, including the building of People's Commissariat for Agriculture by Alexey Shchusev and Tsentrosoyuz building by Le Corbusier were completed, however, the avenue was not built because of the war.

IMELI

Constructed between 1934 and 1938 based on plans by Alexey Shchusev, it is an example of Stalin's Empire style.

Kulikovo Field

Today, Kulikovo Field is home to a museum complex, which includes a 28-metre column on Red Hill (Красный Холм), built in 1848-1850, and a memorial church in honour of Sergius of Radonezh (built in 1913-1918 to a design by Alexey Shchusev), which is now the Kulikovo Field Museum.

Nikolay Lanceray

Isaac Brodsky, Ivan Fomin, Alexey Shchusev, Vladimir Shchuko and other influential artists pleaded in favor of Lanceray, and he was released in August 1935.


Konstantin Melnikov

In 1918-1920, he was employed by the New Moscow planning workshop headed by Zholtovsky and Alexey Shchusev, designing Khodynka and Butyrsky District sectors of the city.
