Mount Darling

It was discovered on aerial flights from the West Base of the United States Antarctic Service in 1940, and named for Professor Chester A. Darling of Allegheny College, Meadville, Pennsylvania.

Blair Hrovat - coached football at PCHS and was fired 2 years ago, was formerly a college head coach at Allegheny College

William Bentley

Bentley's revised will left his books on history and natural science to the American Antiquarian Society in Worcester, Massachusetts, and the rest of his library to the just-established Allegheny College, founded by fellow Harvard graduate Timothy Alden.


John Charles Fields

Fields taught for two years at Johns Hopkins before joining the faculty of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
