Ann Battelle

Recruited by a former high school soccer coach turned moguls coach in Colorado, Battelle skied moguls competitively for the first time after she graduated from Middlebury College in 1989, when she was 21 years old.

At Middlebury College, she played varsity soccer and continued to ski a great deal.

Carillon

Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont also has a 48 bell carillon, which is located in the steeple of the college's Mead Memorial Chapel.

Elizabeth Gregg Patterson

In 1942, Patterson became a Fellow, at the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, Middlebury College, and later, her short story, "Homecoming", was awarded third prize in the 1951 O. Henry Award for short fiction.

Louis Winslow Austin
