Evelyn Flinders

She entered Hornsey Art School at the age of fifteen, and in 1928 got her first job with the Amalgamated Press, drawing for Schooldays.


John Alexander Hammerton

Then, in 1905, he joined Alfred Harmsworth's Amalgamated Press.

Leslie Barringer

After the war he worked at various times as a civil servant (Senior Information Officer with the Central Office of Information) and as an editor for Scottish publishers Thomas Nelson & Sons, for the BBC as an editor on the Radio Times, and in Amalgamated Press as an editor in their encyclopedia department.

Mike Western

In the early 1950s he joined fellow former GB Animation artists Ron "Nobby" Clark and Eric Bradbury at Amalgamated Press, drawing adventure strips for Knock-Out, including the western "Lucky Logan" and the aviation series "Johnnie Wingco".
