Amanecer was one of four projects competitively selected for the 2008 Multicultural Mentorship Scheme, a Metro Screen and NSWFTO joint initiative.
She did a cover of the Daniela Romo song "Quiero Amanecer Con Alguien" and of "Reencuentro" along with Milly Quezada and Sergio Vargas, originally recorded by Álvaro Torres.
Two of the most important films of his filmography are Rojo amanecer (1989) and El callejón de los milagros (1995) based in the homonym book by Naguib Mahfouz, Midaq Alley of 1947 (زقق المدق), which breaks the classic lineal plots in films.
