Besides devoutly following Amir Khan's style, teaching and demonstrating the style, Amar Nath also served at All India Radio for eight years, and later as Director of Kala Sangam in Delhi, and also provided music for the 1955 film Garam Coat and for a documentary on Mirza Ghalib.
They were younger brothers of the famous composer of the 40's, Pandit Amarnath, and both worked as his assistants.
