2008 Armed Forces Bowl

The 2008 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl was the sixth edition of the annual post-season college football bowl game, and featured the Houston Cougars against the Air Force Falcons on December 31, 2008 at Amon G. Carter Stadium on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and telecast on ESPN nationally.

Amon G. Carter

The Southern Air Transport terminal at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport, now Atlantic Aviation, was dedicated to Amon Carter in 1933.

Tim Love

Through a partnership with Sodexo which began in 2012, Love's dishes are offered at Texas Christian University's Amon G. Carter Stadium, providing catering services for all the luxury suites as well as general concessions.

Also in 1936 Amon G. Carter commissioned Electra Waggoner Biggs to create the statue Riding into the Sunset, a tribute to Will Rogers and his horse Soapsuds.
