The band invited on stage friends of Derek Bell, such as Ronnie Drew, Carlos Núñez, Anúna and Jeff White.
It was popularized by the Irish choir Anúna in a four-part harmony version, with the line of text "Juste irasceris" left out due to, according to Michael McGlynn, "The particular piece of parchment I was working from was missing those lines".
It was while singing with Anúna in St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin at Christmas 1995 that songwriter Brendan Graham heard her and invited her to sing his composition "The Voice" as Ireland's entry for the Irish Eurosong competition.
Irish choral group Anúna performed Gaudete on their 1996 CD, "Omnis" with a solo by Eurovision Song Contest (1996) winner Eimear Quinn.
This first performance featured Irish Dancing Champions Jean Butler and Michael Flatley, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and the Celtic choral group Anuna with a score written by Bill Whelan.
She continues to sing with Anúna, appearing with them on the soundtrack of Diablo III as a soloist and on the 2012 Anúna CD release "Illumination".
