During 1978 both Gregg Turner and Mike Saunders played with rock critic Richard Meltzer in the Los Angeles punk band VOM, which issued a posthumous five-song EP Live at Surf City on White Noise Records in early summer 1978.
The band consisted of founding members Cinder Block (vocals, formerly of Tilt and Fabulous Disaster) and bass player Mike "Cyco Logic Loco" Avilez (of Oppressed Logic, Angry Samoans, Strung Up), with Adam Grant (of Creepy) on drums and Jake Dudley (from Second Opinion) on guitar.

Singer/guitarist Jonathan Hall had been playing in Texorcist (the Los Angeles band with Linda "Texacala" Jones, formerly of Tex and the Horseheads, not the Texas band of the same name) and the Angry Samoans with and bassist Heath Seifert.
Saunders' political incorrectness and personal attacks in his lyrics earned him (and the Angry Samoans) significant notoriety in the early 1980s, especially due to their song "Get Off the Air", an ad hominem attack upon well-known KROQ-FM DJ Rodney Bingenheimer.
In May 1971, Mike Saunders (of later Angry Samoans fame) wrote a favorable review of Kingdom Come for Creem magazine.

After leaving Legs Diamond, he played drums on hip hop act Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E.'s albums Metally Disturbed and Angry Samoans and toured Europe with them.
