Anne Vavasour (c. 1560 – c. 1650), married name Finch, Lady of the Bedchamber to Queen Elizabeth I of England
Nearly a century after her death her poetic output had been largely forgotten, until the great English poet William Wordsworth praised her nature poetry in an essay included in his 1815 volume Lyrical Ballads.

Finch also skillfully employed the Pindaric ode, exploring complex and irregular structures and rhyme schemes.
