He joined Penn Law in 1981, and since 2007, held a joint appointment at the Annenberg School for Communication at Penn.
He was also a teacher at the Annenberg School for Communication and the University of Pennsylvania.
It has been speculated by the Museum of Modern Art in New York that it was created from 1912 to 1913 while the Annenberg School for Communication suggests 1913-14.
Willard D. Rowland, Jr. holds a BA in History from Stanford University, an MA in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. from the Institute for Communications Research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
