Anouvong

With the support of Krommeunchetsadabodin (later King Rama III), Anouvong persuaded King Rama II to appoint Anouvong's son, Prince Ratxabout, to the now vacant throne in Champasak.

In 2010, to coincide with the 450th Anniversary celebrations of Vientiane, the Lao government created the Chao Anouvong Park, complete with a large bronze statue of the locally revered King.

Mueang Chaiyaphum District

King Anouvong of Lan Xang consulted to King Rama III to promote Mr.Lae to be Khun Phakdi Chumphon, later was promoted to be the governor of Chaiyaphum as Phraya Phakdi Chumphon.

Wat Si Saket was built in 1818 on the orders of King Anouvong (Sethathirath V.) Si is derived from the Sanskrit title of veneration Sri, prefixed to the name of Wat Saket in Bangkok, which was renamed by Anouvong's contemporary, King Rama I.
