Adults were collected in an alpine meadow on a steep southern slope, where Lotus corniculatus, Anthyllis vulneraria and Onobrychis montana are the most likely candidates to be its host.
It is often found on coastal cliffs in association with thrift and kidney vetch and blooms from May to September.
The south facing slope of the Knoll has seen sightings of the Small Blue butterfly and its sole larval foodplant Kidney Vetch Anthyllis vulneraria grows there.
