The station is unique in that it partners with local cultural institutions like the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Aspen Writers' Foundation, and the Aspen Institute to broadcast and re-broadcast concerts and lectures to its entire listening public.

He was educated at Yale University and a conducting fellow at Aspen and Tanglewood.
Mather attended the Aspen Music Festival and School in the summers of 1957 and 1958 through a scholarship provided by the Women's Musical Club of Toronto and the Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority.
In the United States he has worked in music festivals at Aspen, Interlochen, Musicorda, Idyllwild, and in New York.
Subsequent studies with Nadia Boulanger, Luigi Dallapiccola, Darius Milhaud, Paul Hindemith, and Philip Bezanson in composition, William Steinberg and Leonard Bernstein in conducting, and Hugo Kortschak and Ivan Galamian on violin took Yannatos to Yale University (B.M., M.M.), the University of Iowa (Ph.D.), Aspen, Tanglewood, and Paris.
Since 2000 he has been Co-Principal Horn of the Aspen Festival Orchestra, and he has also performed as a guest Principal Horn with the orchestras of Toronto, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Cincinnati, San Francisco, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra.
Madeleine Begun Kane studied at the Eastman School of Music, the Aspen Music Festival, California Institute of the Arts, and St. John's University School of Law.
Later on, she became a founder of Cello Divas and Quartos with which she appeared in such places as Banff, Norfolk, Roycroft, and Skaneateles as well as Aspen Music Festival.
Nelson has received numerous commissions, including those from the National Symphony Orchestra, the Rochester Philharmonic, the USAF Band and Chorus, Musashino Wind Ensemble, Aspen Music Festival and numerous colleges and universities.
