Miguel Estete - Spanish military and conquistador (b. Santo Domingo de la Calzada, 1495 - d. Ayacucho about 1572), took part in the conquest of the Inca empire, participating in all major actions, including the capture of its last emperor, Atahualpa (1532).
Discussion ended abruptly when Atahualpa was offered a Bible but "did not know how to open it".
Initially, Huáscar's generals Atoc and Hango were successful, defeating Atahualpa's army and capturing many of his soldiers, including seizure of the large cities Cajamarca and Tumebamba.
In 2004 in Quito, Ecuador, the barra brava fought the Ecuadorian police during a Copa Libertadores match between El Nacional and Independente in the Atahualpa stadium.
Atahualpa, seeing that the Spaniards cherished gold above all, promised to fill a room with gold in exchange for his freedom.
The men occasionally feinted toward Tuskaloosa, hoping to frighten him, a technique of manipulation de Soto had used against the Inca Atahualpa at Cajamarca.
