(born August 5, 1944) is an American administrator and businessman, currently the Interim Superintendent of the Atlanta Public Schools school district in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was instrumental in organizing the North Avenue Presbyterian Church (which still stands) and was re-elected to the Atlanta Board of Education.
In addition, she worked as an adjunct professor at Morehouse and Spelman colleges and as a music coordinator and supervisor of Atlanta Public Schools.
Founded in 1947 as part of the Fulton County school district, it has been a part of the Atlanta Public Schools since the annexation of Buckhead in 1952.

The B.E.S.T. academy was initiated by Atlanta Public Schools based on the research of Michael Gurian, who asserts that girls and boys have different learning styles.
