Audun-le-Tiche

The Villeroy & Boch ceramic manufacturing company was founded in 1748 in Audun by François Boch.

Audun-le-Tiche is served by a railway station that is served by both French national railway and the Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, on whose Line 60 it is located.

Esch-sur-Alzette railway station

After Esch-sur-Alzette, the main line continues towards Niederkorn, whilst a minor line branches off to Audun-le-Tiche, in France.

Nicolas Liez

In 1860, he acquired his own porcelain factory in Audun-le-Tiche but it was a failure and he was forced to sell out.

Vieux Luxembourg

For Villeroy & Boch, that step was the establishment of a pottery in Audun-le-Tiche, Lorraine on April 1st, 1748 their first pattern, Vieux Luxembourg.
